The potential benefit of women in leadership positions in global health is significant. However, currently there is a disparity. While women constitute a large portion of the health workforce, they are not represented equally in leadership, management, and governance roles.
Welcome to our four-day LeaderNet seminar hosted by the USAID-funded Leadership, Management, and Governance (LMG) Project. During these four days we will read articles and view videos to facilitate discussion around the following topics:
- Women in Leadership: Progress being made
- Mechanisms to Empower Women
- Mentoring as a Way Forward
- Increasing Young Women in Leadership Roles
By the end of the seminar participants in this discussion will understand the challenges that women face in leadership positions, how mentoring and coaching can catalyze women leaders, and the importance of supporting young women as leaders in global health.
